nginx-passenger se apaga, instala doble verificación (actualizado)

Acabo de configurar un vps en Bluehost. Centos 6. Durante 2 días mi servidor nginx se cierra y registra esto:

[ ... ]: Signal received. Gracefully shutting down... (send signal 2 more time(s) to force shutdown)

Reinicié nginx muchas veces, verifiqué sus niveles de ejecución, probé con un par de aplicaciones en ejecución... Pero no puedo evitar que nginx siga apagándose.

Entonces, busqué por todas partes. En StackOverflowun autor pasajero recomienda instalarlo nuevamente siguiendo las instrucciones, lo cual hice (dos veces) sin mejores resultados.

Investigando más encontré estopregunta similarsin una buena respuesta todavía.

Cavando aún más, encontré unsoluciónen serverfault, relacionado con una aplicación Rails, como en mi caso. Pero no puedo localizar Rubber-passenger_nginx.yml porque no usé Rubber.

En cuanto a tener las últimas versiones de todo para compilar, verifiqué dos veces nginx, pasajero (instalado con yum en el servidor e incluido como gema en la aplicación), rvm, ruby, la configuración de mi aplicación Rails. Todo está bien. Pero nginx se detiene. Ayuda por favor...

Gracias @drookie por el comentario. Recopilo información y estoy tratando de aprender cómo rastrear SIGINT en Linux. Esta es la pista del mismo error en la última instalación, primer error de instalación. Obtuve como 100 del 404 para GET /whm-server-status HTTP/1.0 (¿por qué nginx solicita apache?) y luego:

Encontré el problema y no era nginx ni pasajero. El servidor tenía WHM instalado. Entonces, la seguridad del panel de control estaba cambiando las órdenes que daba en bash. Además, la instalación era antigua. Una vez que whm se actualizó y se usó correctamente, se resolvió el problema del cierre de nginx. @drookie, tenías razón, no era un simple demonio, sino todo lo que lo estaba causando. Gracias.
