Sitio de WordPress detrás de CDN; quiero -origin omitir CDN

Question

Para una configuración multientorno tengo lo siguiente:

https://www.ejemplo.com/=> NubeFront =>https://www-origen.ejemplo.com/=> WordPress FastCGI

Esto funciona bien. Sin embargo, me gustaría poder omitir CloudFront con fines de depuración (colocando un archivo robots.txt para evitar problemas de SEO).

https://www-origen.ejemplo.com/=> WordPress FastCGI

Mi problema es que WordPress almacena URL absolutas, por lo que aún devuelve enlaces CDN para cualquier contenido. Me gustaría que nginx reescribiera de forma transparente www-origin.example.com a www.example.com, incluidos los enlaces en las respuestas. ¿Algún consejo? Intenté configurar fastcgi_param HTTP_HOST sin éxito.
