Intentando construir nginx según esta guía:https://calvin.me/nginx-ldap-http-authentication/
Estoy en Ubuntu 16.04 y usé nginx 1.12.2 en lugar de lo que tiene en esa guía. Modifiqué su script de compilación a esto:

Recibo esto como un error, pero el mensaje "no encontrado" realmente existe.

El problema está en ~, si lo usas $HOMEen su lugar, esto debería funcionar.
La expansión de tilde del shell es un poco rara... En general, sólo ocurre al comienzo de una palabra.
El shell realiza una expansión de tilde justo después de a =, pero solo si se trata de una asignación de variable (como en la variable de entorno), lo cual no es el caso aquí.
Sus opciones son usar algo como $HOME, que debería expandirse de manera confiable, o usar un espacio en lugar de =al pasar el argumento, como --add-module ~/nginx-auth-ldap. Cualquiera debería funcionar bien.
