La interfaz web de Monit muestra: Error de ejecución | No existe

Entonces, incluso si mysql se está ejecutando y está activo, Monit no puede detectarlo. Configuré el enlace simbólico con:

En Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, encontré que el archivo pid y el socket estaban comentados en
/etc/mysql/mysql.conf.d/mysqld.cnf. Descomenté esas dos líneas y luego reinicié mysql conservice mysql restarty monit conservice monit restarty monit pudo monitorear con éxito el proceso mysqld.
A mí me ha funcionado, por cierto. Gracias @Tyler (no puedo votar ni comentar allí)
