Ayer por la noche hice una apt-get updatee instalé algunas actualizaciones (desafortunadamente no presté atención a lo que instalé). Esta mañana, cuando encendí la computadora portátil, no podía arrancar y apareció un mensaje de este tipo:

Entré en modo de recuperación y primero intenté liberar espacio. No funcionó. Luego intenté ejecutar dpkg, pero el estado del sistema de archivos era de solo lectura. Entonces cambié el estado, corrí dpkg, sin estar realmente seguro del resultado. Al principio no pasó nada, pero luego lo reanudé y finalmente arrancó (pero increíblemente lento). luego me conecto, pero el gráfico es una broma y es demasiado lento.

Parece que tu disco duro está fallando. Como mínimo, debe hacer una copia de seguridad de sus datos lo antes posible.
Puedes intentar cojear, a veces puedes reformatear el disco y sacarle algún uso, pero puede fallar por completo en cualquier momento.
Lo mejor es considerar reemplazar el disco duro.
