No instalaste MySQL. Túactualizado un existenteInstalación de MySQL, sin actualizar los esquemas de la base de datos a lo que espera la versión 5.7.
Y como esta gente...
… descubre que a MySQL no le gustarán sus bases de datos y se negará a comenzar con ellas hasta que las haya actualizado a los nuevos esquemas.

La persona de cuyo depósito hablaba M. Harald,Rémi Collet, dicePara volver a cambiar a la versión anterior de MySQL, descargue toda la base de datos configurada en un archivo, actualice una vez más y restaure desde el volcado.
Oracle describe los métodos de actualización y restauración de volcado en el documento, siendo el primero unactualización en sitioy siendo este último unactualización lógica.

También podría significar que la partición se ha quedado sin inodos. Úselo df -ipara verificar el uso del inodo.
Es inusual quedarse sin inodos, por lo que es posible que tenga algún directorio lleno de archivos pequeños o de longitud cero en algún lugar que no conoce. Desafortunadamente, no conozco una manera fácil de encontrar este tipo de cosas. La ejecución find / -xdevimprimiría el nombre de cada archivo y directorio en la partición. Es posible que puedas detectar algún directorio sospechoso lleno de archivos vacíos.
Lo intenté una vez cuando había usado más de millones de inodos.
encontrar . -tipo f -nombre sess_* -eliminar
Actualizar
prueba estos pasos:
mysqld_safe –skip-grant-tables –user=root &
mysql_fix_privilege_tables
pkill mysqld
/etc/init.d/mysqld restart
