LXD: Obteniendo IP de DHCP pero sin ping externo

Question

Entonces configuré una VM limpia en VirtualBox. Configuré dispositivos puente como se describe envarios tutoriales. Creo una VM y obtengo una dirección DHCP. Pero después de eso no obtuve ningún ping desde el contenedor a ninguna IP en la red local, y mucho menos afuera. Sin embargo, puedo hacer ping a la VM desde mi host.

Entonces la pregunta sigue siendo ¿qué estoy haciendo mal? Estoy ejecutando tanto el host como la VM Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, con LXD 2.0.8:
