Tengo un servidor Ubuntu 16.04 que tiene una gran cantidad de software (Unifi, Unifi Video, UNMS, Bluecherry, Apache2). Necesito un software que solo admita 14.04 (mFi). Así que tengo software que se actualiza solo en 16.04 y software que no funciona en 16.04, pero por razones de factura eléctrica debe estar en 1 PC. Tengo el KVM 16.04 ejecutando y puedo instalar una VM sin problemas. También tengo creado un br0 que recibe DHCP de mi enrutador. Necesito que la VM 14.04 también obtenga DHCP de mi enrutador. ¿Esto realmente funcionará o estoy considerando reinstalar todo en esxi? VMware hace esto. Virtualbox hace esto. ¿Por qué no puedo crear un puente L2 entre Ethernet y la VM? Estoy bastante seguro de que probablemente podría hacer esto incluso con el hipervisor de Windows.
El cortafuegos está deshabilitado. No tenga nada de las máquinas virtuales porque después de un tiempo era una completa pérdida de tiempo si fallaba el DHCP antes de instalar todo. En primer lugar, <target>es opcional cuando se conecta a un puente existente; normalmente no deberías especificarlo en absoluto. Quitaría esta línea.
En segundo lugar, ha definido un <alias>, pero el nameatributo es incorrecto. Todos los nombres de alias deben comenzar con la cadena literal ua-. Esta opción no existía antes de libvirt 3.9.0. También es opcional, por lo que puedes simplemente eliminarlo.
Edite la VM con virsh edit vmname. Debe detener e iniciar la máquina virtual nuevamente para que la configuración surta efecto, si se estaba ejecutando en el momento de editarla.
Más allá de eso, si eso no logra que la VM esté en la red, lo más probable es que el problema esté en la configuración del invitado o en la red física local (por ejemplo, el conmutador ascendente).
