Cómo crear un proyecto laravel en la carpeta htdocs

Soy un desarrollador web. Creé proyectos en el sistema operativo Windows, pero ahora me cambié por completo a Ubuntu 20.04. He instalado PHP y composer. Pero cuando quiero crear un proyecto de Laravel, htdocscrea el proyecto pero vendorfalta la carpeta. Cuando escribo composer updateen CLI en htdocsla carpeta, muestra estos errores:

1=>

2=>

Luego muestra estos:

Problem 1
    - laravel/framework v7.25.0 requires ext-mbstring * -> the requested PHP extension mbstring is missing from your system.

  To enable extensions, verify that they are enabled in your .ini files:

  You can also run `php --ini` inside terminal to see which files are used by PHP in CLI mode.

Tienes que ingresar a la carpeta del proyecto para ejecutar Composer...

ejemplo:

cd path/to/htdocs/your-laravel-project-folder

Entonces corre

composer install

Uno de sus problemas es que composerno tiene permiso de escritura /home/saad/.cache/composer/.

Otro problema es que te falta el php-mbstringpaquete. Instálalo por:

sudo apt install php7.4-mbstring
