Estoy usando Ubuntu 11.10 y instalé GIMP anoche. Pero hoy, mi administrador de actualizaciones muestra que su sistema tiene paquetes y dependencias rotos. Cuando intento instalar la actualización de GIMP que está disponible en el administrador de actualizaciones, aparece el siguiente error.

El Administrador de actualizaciones muestra la actualización de GIMP en Otras actualizaciones (LP-PPA-matthaeus123-mrw-gimp-svn). ¿Es ese el repositorio oficial? ¿Necesito eliminar ese repositorio? Si es así, ¿cómo?
Además, el Centro de software de Ubuntu muestra un error que dice "Los elementos no se pueden instalar ni eliminar hasta que se repare el catálogo de paquetes".
Cuando hago clic en reparar, nuevamente me da el siguiente error.

Intenté eliminar el paquete gimp con sudo apt-get remove gimp, pero aparece el siguiente error.

No sé cómo seguir adelante y solucionar este error. Necesito instalar algunas aplicaciones, pero no puedo debido a estos errores. No quiero el software GIMP como tal, lo instalé por si acaso. Pero quiero que mi Centro de software de Ubuntu funcione.

Tendrás que eliminar gimp-paint-studio , gimp-gmic , and gimp-plugin-registrypara solucionar tu último problema.
sudo apt-get remove gimp-paint-studio gimp-gmic gimp-plugin-registry
Para el repositorio, use apt-add-repository -r ppa:user/repositorypara eliminar uno

Si ustedhizoSi desea instalar gimp desde ese PPA, su página web (https://launchpad.net/~matthaeus123/+archive/mrw-gimp-svn) tiene la solución:
GIMP 2.7.5 no funcionará con glib y gtk actuales en Oneiric. Para solucionar el problema, instale estos repositorios.

Te diré lo que funcionó para mí.
Elimine del administrador del repositorio de formulario estos 3 PPA:
http://ppa.launchpad.net/gnome3-team/gnome3/ubuntu
http://ppa.launchpad.net/ricotz/testing/ubuntu
http://ppa.launchpad.net/matthaeus123/mrw-gimp-svn/ubuntu
Porque tiene una lista de dependencias incorrecta para Oneiric (libglib2.0).
Y elimine los datos gimp de Synaptics que queden de intentos de instalación anteriores.
Luego agregue este PPA desde la línea de comando:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jmou/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gimp
Esto instalará GIMP 2.7.4.
No sé cómo arreglar el paquete PPA incorrecto para Oneiric.
