¿Cómo habilito un panel táctil?

Instalé Ubuntu 11.10 hace varios meses, pero no encontré una forma adecuada de habilitar el panel táctil.

Una vez probé algo cuyo nombre no recuerdo.

¿Alguien tiene alguna sugerencia?

Abra el Centro de software y busquesinápticos, debería tener un par de paquetes que, después de la instalación, deberían habilitar su panel táctil.

¡Tuve el mismo problema en una Dell Inspiron 1545!
