Instale Skype 4.3 pero solo instala 4.2.

Así que he estado intentando todo para instalar 4.3, pero cada vez que lo instalo, a través de gdebi o el centro de software, dice que está instalando 4.3, pero luego, cuando lo abro, solo está instalado 4.2. No tendría ningún problema con 4.2, pero 4.2 no conecta mi contraseña y todo está bien, pero siempre dice "skype no puede conectarse". ¿Estoy haciendo algo mal aquí o alguien más ha enfrentado este problema? Escuché a algunas personas describir un .skype que aparece en su carpeta de inicio, pero no aparece ninguno cuando hago clic en Inicio. así que no tengo ni idea aquí :-(

Al realizar la instalación desde Canonical Partner, asegúrese de instalar los paquetes skype y skype-bin. Entonces, si usas una ventana de terminal, necesitas:

sudo apt-get install skype skype-bin

Eso debería instalar la última versión (4.3).

Este es un ejemplo de una actualización de Skype 4.2 a 4.3:
