Estoy intentando ejecutar el comando sudo apt-get updateen Ubuntu 14. Está intentando conectarse 10.8.0.1y falla.
npm installtambién está fracasando por la misma razón. Encontré que 10.8.0.1está asociado con openvpn. Lo he instalado openvpnen este sistema.

Puede que tengas algo como
Acquire::http::proxy "http://10.8.0.1:8080/";
en su /etc/apt/apt.confexpediente. Simplemente elimine esta línea. Deberia de funcionar.
