Brother HL-2240 프린터 설정

Ubuntu 16.04를 사용하고 있는데 Brother HL-2240 프린터로 인쇄할 수 없습니다. 프린터/시스템 설정을 통해 모든 설정 단계를 수행하고 권장 드라이버/위치를 모두 선택했지만 여전히 작동하지 않습니다.

 Step1. Download the tool.(linux-brprinter-installer-*.*.*-*.gz)

The tool will be downloaded into the default "Download" directory.
(The directory location varies depending on your Linux distribution.)
e.g. /home/(LoginName)/Download

Step2. Open a terminal window and go to the directory you downloaded the file to in the last step.

Step3. Enter this command to extract the downloaded file:

Command: gunzip linux-brprinter-installer-*.*.*-*.gz

Step4. Get superuser authorization with the "su" command or "sudo su" command.

Step5. Run the tool:

Command: bash linux-brprinter-installer-*.*.*-* Brother machine name

Step6. The driver installation will start. Follow the installation screen directions.


 When you see the message "Will you specify the DeviceURI ?",

 For USB Users: Choose N(No)
 For Network Users: Choose Y(Yes) and DeviceURI.

The install process may take some time. Please wait until it is complete.

프린터(Brother HL-2240D)를 추가할 때 Brother HL-2142를 선택하고 해당 프린터에 권장되는 드라이버를 선택했는데 Brother HL-2240D가 완벽하게 작동합니다. 제 경우에는 실제 프린터가 Windows XP PC에 있으므로 Ubuntu에 네트워크 프린터를 추가했습니다.

16.04를 설치한 다음 Brother HL-2142를 추가했지만 테스트에서 빈 페이지가 많이 발행되었습니다. 다운로드된 HL-2240 Brother linux-brprinter-installer-..-그리고 명령줄 설치를 따랐습니다. 하지만 위의 5단계에서 HL-2240DW 모델 번호를 사용해야 했고 이제 프린터가 올바르게 작동하고 있습니다. 14.04에서도 비슷한 문제가 발생했습니다.
