알겠습니다. 제가 새 HP 프린터를 가지고 있는데, (지금까지) 이런 일이 일어났습니다.
HPLIP 3.17.7이 미리 설치되어 있어서 3.17.11을 설치하려고 했으나 종속성 문제가 있어서 별로 필요하지 않아서 그대로 두었습니다. 포장을 풀고 Wi-Fi에 연결하고 HPLIP 도구 상자를 통해 설치했습니다(먼저 USB를 통해, 나중에 Wi-Fi를 통해 추가됨).
다음을 제외하고는 모두 잘 작동했습니다.
장치 아래에는 프린터 2대(이름이 약간 다름)와 팩스 1대가 설치되어 있었고, HPLIP 도구 상자에는 프린터 1대와 팩스 1대만 설치되어 있었습니다.
나는 그것들을 제거하고 다시 설치하려고 했습니다(두 프린터가 제대로 작동하지 않는 것 같았습니다). 그런데 오늘 아침에 보니 프린터가 한 대밖에 남지 않았고, hplip 도구 상자 아래에 있던 두 대도 없어졌습니다.

우분투에서 프린터의 모든 "인스턴스"를 제거하십시오.
실제로 hplip 3.17.11을 설치하고 싶습니다.
하지만 마지막 2개에는 문제가 있습니다.
프린터 전원이 꺼진 상태에서도 프린터를 제거하면 마지막 남은 프린터가 다시 돌아오기 때문입니다. 나는 장치와 컵에 시험해 보았습니다!

현재로서는 다음과 같은 방법으로 이 문제를 해결한 것 같습니다.
1) 프린터를 공장 설정으로 재설정 2) 우분투를 최신 버전(여전히 17.10)으로 업데이트했지만 새로 설치
