estou tentando instalargmicem 16.04. Tentei seguir as instruções deaquique menciona explicitamente 16.04, mas recebo:
gmic : Depends: libcurl4 but it is not installable
Existe alguma maneira de instalar o gmic no 16.04?

Está tudo bem com seu sources.list. Mas descobri que libcurl4 não é compatível com Ubuntu 16.04.
Então, posso pensar em duas maneiras:
1) Instale libcurl3, diz-se que substituirá o libcurl4:
sudo apt install libcurl3
E então tente novamente.
2) Se não funcionar, você terá que instalar manualmente libcurl4:
wget http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/c/curl/libcurl4_7.58.0-2ubuntu3.8_amd64.deb
sudo apt remove libcurl3
sudo dpkg -i libcurl4_7.58.0-2ubuntu3.8_amd64.deb
Nota: Esses softwares como php,,,, dependem .cmakefehcurllibcurl
Se desta forma também não funcionar, você terá que fazer o downgrade da sua versão libcurlpara libcurl3(para restabelecer a estabilidade). Então a única maneira que resta seria atualizar para o Ubuntu 18.04.
