Cometi um erro horrível e removi o gtk (e todos os pacotes vinculados, incluindo o gnome). Depois disso, recuperei minha GUI
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktope a maioria dos pacotes principais, mas agora estou recebendo um erro ao tentar fazer sudo apt-get update:

contribnão é uma seção válida para os espelhos oficiais do Ubuntu, daí a mensagem enigmática que contrib/source/Sourcesnão pode ser encontrada.
repo.yandex.runão é oficial listado emhttps://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archivemirrors. A non-freeseção desse espelho não contém binários nem fontes. Se você quiser usar o espelho Yandex, usemirror.yandex.ru.
Além disso, sua lista de fontes de repositório está faltando, security.ubuntu.como que pode causar atrasos nas atualizações de segurança.
Você deve definir as fontes do seu repositório para pelo menos:
