Tentei abrir Gephiapós o download a ./gephipartir do ~/binarquivo, que parece funcionar a princípio e depois trava.
Então tentei uma abordagem de instalação diferente usando: (Como posso instalar o Gephi?)
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:rockclimb/gephi-daily
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gephi
Eu consegui isso depois sudo apt-get install gephi:

Seu pacote precisa do pacote libgoogle-collections-javacomo uma dependência, mas você não possui um repositório que forneça este pacote. Parece que estava disponível em 10.04 e 12.04, mas não em 14.04 por razões que não são claras... Você precisa encontrar este pacote para instalar o Gephi.
