Confuso sobre as interfaces virtuais do Linux

Tenho alguns mal-entendidos sobre as interfaces virtuais do Linux. Consegui descobrir quais interfaces são virtuais e físicas:

Eu sei que ao criar uma interface virtual (que é chamada de ip aliasing, se não me engano) essa interface virtual deve pertencer a uma interface física, então quando você executar ifconfig, verá algo como eth0:0. Quando corro ifconfig, só consigo tun0.

Então, como posso descobrir a qual interface física pertence o tun0?

Outra dúvida é: como posso ver como a interface virtual tun0 está configurada? Onde posso ver sua configuração? Porque eu gostaria de saber, por exemplo, que tipo de interface é: bridged, bonded, etc.

Além disso, por último, como posso encontrar a largura de banda/velocidade máxima de tun0? Tentei ethtool tun0 | grep Speed, mas consegui Speed: 10Mb/s, o que não é o caso, pois atingi velocidades de 40 Mebagbytes/seg na interface.
