Uso uma webcam Logitech C270 há vários anos sem problemas em meu sistema com o Ubuntu 20.10 atualmente instalado. Mas a partir de ontem a webcam parou de produzir vídeo no Zoom e em todos os outros programas de captura de vídeo. A luz da câmera acenderá indicando que ela está capturando vídeo. dmesg e lsusb indicam que a câmera foi detectada, mas nenhum erro é mostrado. Não sei de nada que eu pudesse ter feito que pudesse ter causado isso, exceto instalar atualizações do kernel.
Tentei voltar para uma versão mais antiga do kernel, linux-image-5.8.0-55-generic (o mais recente que instalei é linux-image-5.8.0-59-generic) sem nenhuma alteração.
O único feedback que consegui encontrar foi ao executar o guvcview. Aqui está a saída:

Claro, depois de postar a pergunta, resolvi o problema. A webcam está conectada à minha área de trabalho através das portas USB do meu monitor. Originalmente, tentei desconectar e reconectar o cabo USB do monitor à área de trabalho, mas não funcionou. Mas desconectar e reconectar a webcam do monitor funcionou. Não tenho ideia do porquê, mas pelo menos estou de volta aos negócios.
