Estou tentando atualizar R no meu Ubuntu 20.04 (novo atualizado de 16.04).
Então eu excluo a versão anterior do R por:
sudo apt-get purge r-base* r-recommended r-cran-*
sudo apt autoremove
Depois, atualizo meu /etc/apt/sources.list adicionando o repositório bom
deb https://cloud.r-project.org/bin/linux/ubuntu focal-cran40/
E a chave correta:
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys E298A3A825C0D65DFD57CBB651716619E084DAB9
Mas recebo um erro durante a atualização de sources.list :
sudo apt-get update

No trabalho, estou atrás de um proxy. Portanto, os parâmetros do proxy são especificados nos parâmetros de rede nos parâmetros do sistema, mas também no apt. (arquivo 80proxy em /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/)
Com esta configuração, apenas o R 3.6 está acessível:

Eu tenho um laptop com Ubuntu 20.04 atualizado e o mesmo sources.list e não encontro nenhum erro na rede doméstica.
Suspeito que o erro se deva aos parâmetros do proxy, mas não tenho certeza. Você poderia ajudar a configurar e instalar com sucesso a última versão do R?

Após contactar o serviço de TI, pedem-me para testar outro endereço para o parâmetro proxy mas obtenho um novo erro.

Com esse novo erro, encontrei esse post anterior
apt update: Não foi possível fazer o handshake: um pacote TLS inesperado foi recebido
Então tento deletar o "s" no endereço do https_proxy e.... FUNCIONA!!!
Além disso, os únicos parâmetros de proxy levados em consideração no comando apt-get update estão no arquivo /etc/apt/apt.conf.

Acquire::http::proxy "http://myaddress.XXX.fr:myport/";
Acquire::https::proxy "http://myaddress.XXX.fr:myport/";
Acquire::ftp::proxy "ftp://myaddress.XXX.fr:myport/";
Esta solução também funciona com os parâmetros iniciais do proxy.
