Sem solicitação de senha - SSH

Eu tenho uma nova configuração de servidor Ubuntu no Linode. Estou tentando desabilitar logins de senha e consegui fazer isso para rootusuários, mas não consegui fazer isso para um novo usuário (lrehan) criado por mim.

rootnão é possível fazer login via senha/chave ssh lrehanpode fazer login sem senha ou não fornecendo a chave ssh (pois não há solicitação de senha)

root login

Dentro do diretório /etc/ssh/sshd_config.d/ existe apenas um arquivo .conf (50-cloud-init.conf), mas dentro dele contém a linha: PasswordAuthentication yes

Mudei a linha para #PasswordAuthentication no

e reiniciei o ssh. Agora está funcionando. Só consigo acessar com a chave ssh.
