Eu instalei o Ubuntu, tudo exceto a conexão de banda larga não funciona. O mesmo cartão SIM funcionou no Windows. Então, geralmente o hardware e o sim não podem ser o problema.

OK, o problema é que ninguém diz o bloqueio da FCC. Para colocar o modem em funcionamento, você deve fazer o seguinte:
sudo apt-get install libmbim-utils
sudo apt-get install libqmi-utils
sudo ln -sft /etc/ModemManager/fcc-unlock.d /usr/share/ModemManager/fcc-unlock.available.d/*
