Tutorial de saída HDMI da Nvidia Optimus não funciona corretamente

Depois de instalar recentementeEdição de desktop do Ubuntu 12.04Está no meu laptop equipado com nvida optimus (ASUS N53J). Tentei fazer o HDMI funcionar usando o método descrito neste guiaaqui. Consigo mover o mouse para fora da tela, mas a sessão do LXDE não aparece no meu monitor externo. Eu tentei com 2 monitores diferentes e muitas reinicializações sem sucesso. Instalei o bumblebee com sucesso e tanto a placa gráfica nvidia quanto os gráficos integrados Intel funcionam bem no monitor do laptop.

Aqui está uma pasta do terminal a partir do qual iniciei a sessão. Nota: Tente novamente em 1 segundo, a mensagem se repete para sempre.

Acho que algo deu errado ao iniciar a sessão do LXDE (vejo muitas mensagens de falha), então espero que vocês possam ajudar. Se precisar de mais detalhes sobre o sistema ou como o instalei, ficarei feliz em fornecê-los.

Você realmente deseja executar uma nova sessão no outro monitor ou apenas deseja executar aplicativos (como mplayer) no outro monitor? Não fiquei claro ao ler sua pergunta.

Eu tenho um ASUS N56VM e consegui fazer o mplayer rodar no monitor externo (conectado com HDMI) usando o bumblebee. O áudio não funciona, infelizmente. Segui as instruções sob o título "tela extra" neste link:

Aqui está uma cópia/cola das informações desse link:

Para utilizar um monitor externo através do chip nvidia, o gerenciamento de energia deve estar desabilitado para isso. Edite /etc/bumblebee/bumblebee.conf e altere PmMethod=auto para PmMethod=none (duas vezes).

(somente blob) Em /etc/bumblebee/bumblebee.conf, altere KeepUnusedXServer=false para KeepUnusedXServer=true. Remova as linhas UseEDID e Option "AutoAddDevices" "false" em /etc/bumblebee/xorg.conf.nvidia. Acione o início do servidor X com optirun true.

Antes de executar uma aplicação no monitor externo, ajuste o caminho da biblioteca se necessário (ou remova-o para o nouveau) e execute:

exportar DISPLAY=:8 LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/nvidia-current:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

Em seguida, inicie o programa de sua escolha (sem optirun), ele deverá aparecer no monitor externo.
