Estou tentando instalar a versão atual do freio de mão no Trusty. Instalei a partir dos repositórios padrão e descobri que ele suportava apenas o MKVformato.
Depois de pesquisar no Google, descobri que todos instalam a partir do stebbins/handbrake-releasesppa. De acordo com as instruções no site do launchpad, adicionei as seguintes linhas ao meu sources.listarquivo:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/stebbins/handbrake-releases/ubuntu trusty main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/stebbins/handbrake-releases/ubuntu trusty main
e então:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install handbrake-gtk
produz a seguinte saída:

Como instalo o freio de mão no Trusty (lubuntu-desktop)? Eu tinha isso funcionando perfeitamente no Precise. Devo estar perdendo algo estúpido e óbvio.

Porque você está usandoeste PPA
A versão GTK está no handbrake-gtke tem o caminho
/usr/bin/ghb
A versão CLI está no pacotehandbrake-cli
sudo apt-get install handbrake-cli
com o caminho
/usr/bin/HandBrakeCLI
