Nos últimos dias, sempre que tento instalar um novo aplicativo, recebo
ubuntu unable to install:
cannot perform the following task:
... sem nome de aplicativo nem tarefa listada. tentei
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt autoremove
não há melhores resultados depois. Sendo extremamente novato, não tenho certeza do que tentar a seguir. Qualquer ideia?

em vez de gksudo, já que gksudo não existe mais.

O Apt carrega todos os arquivos de configuração em /etc/apt/apt.conf.d. Podemos criar uma configuração específica para nosso proxy ali, mantendo-o separado de todas as outras configurações.
Crie um novo arquivo de configuração chamado proxy.conf.
sudo touch /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/proxy.conf
Abra o arquivo proxy.conf em um editor de texto.
sudo vi /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/proxy.conf
Adicione a seguinte linha para definir seu proxy HTTP.
Acquire::http::Proxy "http://user:[email protected]:port/";
Adicione a seguinte linha para definir seu proxy HTTPS.
Acquire::https::Proxy "http://user:[email protected]:port/";
Salve suas alterações e saia do editor de texto.
Suas configurações de proxy serão aplicadas na próxima vez que você executar o Apt.
