tentando configurar o certificado SSL, mas depois que o a2ensite apache se recusou a iniciar

Como o título diz, estou em um sistema recém-instalado Ubuntu 16.04,

Eu executo sudo service apache2 status, ele mostra:

Não consigo ter uma ideia de onde está o problema, fiz recentemente o certificado, coloquei-os na pasta certa e, desde que eu a2ensite este site SSL, o Apache2 desliga imediatamente

o log de erros mostra: 'AH00016: Falha na configuração' apenas isto

se eu desabilitar o site SSL, outros sites funcionarão perfeitamente

Qualquer pessoa que pudesse ajudar ou ter ideias seria apreciada.
