Eu tentei seguiralguns guias, aqui está o que fiz até agora:
Instalar software:
sudo apt-get install bluez-utils bluez-alsa
Reinicie (só para ter certeza):
$ dmesg | grep -i bluetooth

O demônio está correndo:
$ /etc/init.d/bluetooth status

Conecte o dongle:

Coloque os fones de ouvido no modo de emparelhamento e tente digitalizar:
$ hcitool scan

Nada encontrado. Qual é o próximo? O que devo tentar? Atualizarei esta resposta assim que você me fornecer dicas.

Acredito que seu (antigo) dongle Bluetooth seja incompatível com seu fone de ouvido, porque é apenas Bluetooth v1.1, enquanto seu fone de ouvido é v2.0+. Isso se baseia nas informações fornecidas em seus links.
Então, primeiro tente usar outro dongle.
