estou tentando instalarGoogle Earth:

... escusado será dizer que euNÃO PODEremova filesystemo pacote, pois isso estragaria todo o meu sistema ...

Tive grandes problemas ao usar os RPMs do Google e comecei a retirar os arquivos deles e a copiá-los diretamente.

Aqui está minha linha mágica:

rpm2cpio google-earth-stable_current_x86_64.rpm  | cpio -idmv

EDIT: Provavelmente vale a pena mencionar que sim, eu verifico dependências, etc.

PER Os Fóruns Oficiais do Google Earth - isso também acontece no RHEL e no Fedora - para outros com problemas de rpm:Fóruns do Google Earth

Resumindo: (Assume que o rpm-build está instalado e baixado dehttps://dl.google.com/dl/earth/client/current/google-earth-stable_current_x86_64.rpm)

usuário@centos7 $ rpmrebuild -d /tmp -ep google-earth-stable_current_x86_64.rpm

Remova a linha: %dir %attr(0755, root, root) "/usr/bin"

Salvar e sair

Responda sim

root@Centos7# yum install /tmp/x86_64/local caminho para o pacote do Google Earth

(opcional) ln -s /opt/google/... /usr/bin

(ou onde quer que você o tenha jogado, se não /opt/google/.... como /opt/google/... é o local normal para o Google ware)
