Alterando a senha da rede sem fio

Eu tenho um roteador Cisco série 1900 conectado a um modem. Quero alterar a senha atual da rede sem fio com a qual um usuário pode acessar a rede e conectar-se à Internet. Isso deveria ser feito através da CLI do roteador? OU através do modem? e como?. Por favor, estou bastante confuso sobre isso.

Para alterar uma senha em um Cisco 1941, siga as etapas a seguir (retiradas deesta fonte):

  1. Conecte o roteador (através da porta do console) ao seu PC e inicie um emulador de terminal com as seguintes configurações:
    • Taxa de transmissão de 9600
    • Sem paridade
    • 8 bits de dados
    • 1 ponto de parada
    • Sem controle de fluxo
  2. Se você acessou o roteador com sucesso, digite show version no prompt e anote a configuração do registro. (A saída de um exemplo de redefinição de senha completa está abaixo, feita com um roteador 2900, mas tem o mesmo procedimento (a fonte é a mesma página))
  3. Desligue o roteador e ligue-o novamente.
  4. Pressione Break no teclado do terminal até ver que o roteador está no modo ROMMON.
  5. Digite “confreg 0x2142” e pressione Enter no prompt que diz rommon 1>.
  6. Digite “reset” e pressione Enter no prompt que diz rommon 2>.
  7. Digite "não" após cada pergunta de configuração e pressione Enter ou pressione Ctrl+C para cada pergunta para pular a configuração.
  8. Digite “enable” e pressione Enter no Router>prompt.
    • Agora você deve ver o prompt Router#.
  9. Digite "configurar memória" ou (exatamente) "copiar startup-config running-config" e pressione Enter.
    • Isso copia a NVRAM para a memória.
  10. Agora digite “configurar terminal” e pressione Enter.
    • O prompt do terminal agora deve ser hostname(config)#.
  11. Digite “enable secret” (lembre-se do espaço!) e digite sua nova senha.
  12. Para cada interface que você usará, coloque-a em posição digitando o nome da interface no console, pressionando Enter, digitando "no shutdown" e pressionando Enter. (em caso de dúvida, procure primeiro)
    • Para ver uma lista de interfaces disponíveis (especificamente para encontrar seus nomes), digite “show ip interface brief” e pressione Enter.
  13. Assim que terminar de colocar as interfaces desejadas, digite "config-register "+ o valor que você anotou no início (se você perdeu o valor, pode colocar com segurança 0x2102).
  14. Digite “end” e pressione Enter no prompt depois de fazer isso.
    • O prompt agora deve ser hostname#.
  15. Digite “write memory” ou “copy running-config startup-config” para confirmar as alterações.

Não parece haver uma maneira de alterar a senha do seu modem específico. Acredito que o modem realmente não afeta a segurança da transmissão do seu wifi, então isso deve funcionar.
