Configurei um computador desktop depois de nove meses no sótão. De alguma forma, duvido que isso esteja relacionado, mas não me lembro de ter sido assim.
Demorou cerca de seis minutos para inicializar, mais alguns minutos para a tela de login da GUI aparecer e mais alguns minutos para o gerenciador de desktop aparecer.
hdparm deu a seguinte saída:
# hdparm -tT /dev/sda

Eu então executei o fstrim assim:
# fstrim -a -v

hdparm melhorou um pouco:
# hdparm -tT /dev/sda
