como fazer com que o csvkit converta arquivos xlsx muito largos - mensagens de erro estranhas

Tenho tentado converter vários arquivos xlsx muito largos (mais de 200 colunas) em arquivos csv para poder agregá-los em um único arquivo para análise. Tenho tentado usar o csvkit, mas ele simplesmente trava nos arquivos.

A mensagem de erro quando eu ligo o modo detalhado varia cada vez que eu executo, aqui está uma:
