Primeiro, deixe-me começar afirmando que sou muito novo no MATLAB e no Linux, talvez esteja faltando algo óbvio, se for esse o caso, por favor, seja paciente comigo.
Pediram-me para ajudar com um projeto de modelagem no meu departamento de matemática, então baixei todo o código, instalei o matlab no meu computador e, depois de passar por alguns obstáculos (tive que instalar uma biblioteca chamada "glu"), o script em si realmente funciona. Chega a um ponto em que acredito que está tentando renderizar um gráfico onde trava o sistema, não consigo acessar outros ttys com ctrl-alt-F(qualquer coisa) e depois de um tempo recebo um cursor piscando no canto superior direito, ainda não consigo fazer nada, ctrl-alt-delete, nada. Então mantenho o botão liga / desliga pressionado e desligo o computador.

Neste ponto, tenho certeza de que é um problema gráfico. Também tentei a renderização de software opengl. O diretor do projeto sugeriu que poderia haver um problema com o kernel já que ele está destruindo todo o meu sistema, neste momento ele quer que eu mude para um ambiente diferente para que possamos seguir em frente, mas eu ainda gostaria de saber o que está acontecendo com o gentoo aqui.
Uma coisa que eu estava pensando é que não tenho um DE, apenas um WM lado a lado (incrível 3,5), não sei se isso causaria algum problema, só uma ideia
