Parece que display não pode exibir nada porque Ctrl + Alt + F* não faz nada. A exibição em si funciona - vejo algumas telas corretas antes de carregar o sistema operacional. Posso me conectar através do ssh.
Minha GPU é GeForce 6600GT.

Não estou muito familiarizado com a iteração mais moderna do nvidia
driver, mas se ninguém mais quiser:
A partir do log, o driver NVIDIA detecta um monitor analógico VGA no CRT-0 e obtém os dados EDID (ou seja, quais resoluções e frequências o monitor suporta). No entanto, ele não lista os modos disponíveis como qualquer outro driver X faz (embora isso possa ser apenas uma peculiaridade do driver NVIDIA atual) e escolhe um modo de “seleção automática”. Portanto, o driver parece satisfeito, mas possivelmente o modo selecionado é aquele que o monitor VGA não gosta por algum motivo.
Coisas para tentar:
1) Substitua
Driver "nvidia"
com
Driver "nouveau"
no xorg.conf (apenas para teste). Reinicie o gerenciador de exibição ou reinicie. Veja Xorg.log
o nouveau
driver deve pelo menos nos informar mais detalhes sobre os dados EDID e quais modelos estão disponíveis.
2) Desinstale nouveau
, mova o xorg.conf
arquivo para fora do caminho (por exemplo, para o seu diretório inicial), reinicie o gerenciador de exibição ou reinicie. Os outros drivers X assumem padrões razoáveis quando não xorg.conf
está presente, esperançosamente o NVIDIA
driver também o faz. Novamente, veja Xorg.log
se ele apresenta modelos válidos.
3) Se isso não ajudar, e se o nouveau
log mostrar modelos, adicione alguns modelos padrão (por exemplo, 800x600) xorg.log
(e volte para o NVIDIA
driver) e veja se o NVIDIA
driver pode ser persuadido a experimentá-los.
4) Se o seu monitor possui um recurso que exibe a frequência horizontal e vertical atual pressionando botões no monitor, esta informação seria útil.

Acabei apt purge nvidia*
removendo /etc/X11/xorg.conf
e reinstalando nouveau
- agora vejo a área de trabalho novamente. Contra temperaturas mais altas, ativei o ventilador barulhento.
