pacman - Syy: erro: falha ao recuperar o arquivo 'packages.db'

Eu executo um contêiner Manjaro dentro de uma máquina AWS Cloud9 com docker container run --interactive --tty manjarolinux/build bashe o primeiro comando que executo, pacman -Syyfalha com a seguinte saída:

/build/diretório está vazio, então esse arquivo não existe. Qual é o propósito desse arquivo? E como devo resolver esse problema?

Preciso instalar pacotes no contêiner, mas o pacman parece inútil no momento.

Se você nunca o modificou. Não sei por que os repositórios personalizados estão definidos. mas você certamente não usa seus próprios repositórios. Portanto, os repositórios personalizados devem ser comentados.
