Meu antigo NAS Thecus N4100pro NAS infelizmente quebrou. Agora tento acessar o NAS através do live CD do Knoppix Linux (http://www.knoppix.org/).
Conectei os discos rígidos via USB usando um adaptador UGREEN USB3 para SATA III.
Problema:
eu recebo a mensagem
root@Microknoppix:/mnt# mount -v /dev/md1 /mnt/md1
mount: /mnt/md1: unbekannter Dateisystemtyp „LVM2_member“.
Em inglês: "tipo de sistema de arquivos desconhecido" LVM2_member ""

/dev/sde: open failed: Kein Medium gefunden
inactive '/dev/vg0/syslv' [1,00 GiB] inherit
inactive '/dev/vg0/lv0' [<2,59 TiB] inherit
ativar grupos de volumes:
knoppix@Microknoppix:~$ sudo vgchange -ay
/dev/sde: open failed: Kein Medium gefunden
2 logical volume(s) in volume group "vg0" now active
Agora ambos os grupos de volumes estão ativos:
knoppix@Microknoppix:~$ sudo lvscan
/dev/sde: open failed: Kein Medium gefunden
ACTIVE '/dev/vg0/syslv' [1,00 GiB] inherit
ACTIVE '/dev/vg0/lv0' [<2,59 TiB] inherit
Agora é possível montar o grupo de volumes:
knoppix@Microknoppix:/mnt$ sudo mount -o ro /dev/vg0/lv0 /mnt/thecus
Este artigo ajudou:
Seria ótimo se alguém pudesse me ajudar a recuperar meus dados.
Obrigado!

A solução está documentada na minha pergunta acima.
A solução foi encontrar o grupo de volumes e montá-lo diretamente em vez do "dispositivo de ataque".
