Tenho espaço adicional dentro de um texto [ver imagem] entre os parágrafos. Além disso é de tamanho diferente [este espaço]. Além do mais, antes da Seção e depois do título da seção, também há espaço adicional. Também com tamanhos diferentes em títulos de seções diferentes.
Como corrigi-lo?

Tente adicionar as opçõespaper=a4paper,twoside=true,textheight=45\baselineskip+\topskip

No seu MWE (mas talvez no documento real), isso não resolve o problema de espaçamento porque você tem pouco texto depois section 0.2e duas subseções sem nenhum texto entre elas. LaTeXnão encontra um bom lugar para quebrar a página. Se você usar um texto real, ou usar \lipsum[2-3]depois section 0.2, os espaços também desaparecem. Você também pode usar o comando
\enlargethispage{2\baselineskip}
ou
\enlargethispage{-\baselineskip}
para adicionar ou subtrair algumas linhas na página incorreta.
O problema vem do fato de bookusar o -class flushbottomcomo padrão e, portanto, esticar o texto entre a margem superior e inferior. Se você adicionar a opção raggedbottomà opção de classe, o problema desaparecerá permanentemente.
A moral é: Se quiser que o texto fique alinhado entre as margens superior e inferior, você deve examinar cuidadosamente o documento quando terminar toda a edição. Nesse último retoque, você pode fazer alterações sutis que corrigem esse tipo de erro de composição. Mas você não será capaz de lidar com todos esses problemas emitidos automaticamente.
