Eu tenho a seguinte configuração

$ epstopdf --version

Estou tentando converter algum arquivo .eps para .pdf. Estou executando o seguinte comando

Isso gera um arquivo .pdf em branco. Parece haver uma discussão relacionadaneste relatório de bug, sobre algum cache que não foi atualizado. Mas o nível técnico do segmento me supera. Eu realmente não sei nada sobre ghostscript. No entanto, parece que o problema não é tanto que o ghostscript não consiga encontrar as fontes Nimbus*, mas sim que ele não consegue substituí-las. Alguém pode me ajudar? Obrigado!

EDITADO: SOLUÇÃO ENCONTRADA. Eu adicionei a resposta abaixo. Obrigado a todos

Bem, finalmente consegui resolver o problema, mais ou menos. Isto é mais uma solução do que uma resposta. Aparentemente,há algum tipo de conflitoentre o ghostscript e opacote de finalizaçãousado para melhor renderização de fontes no Unix (a renderização de fontes padrão do Fedora é horrível). Então eu tenho que remover a infinalidade :(

$ sudo yum remove -y freetype-infinality

E é isso,epstopdf funcionou novamente. E agora tenho fontes horríveis de novo!

Talvez alguém que entenda um pouco mais sobre fontes, ghostscript e infinalidade possa acrescentar a este tópico uma resposta real do que está acontecendo; e não apenas uma solução simples como a minha. Obrigado.

Você sempre pode informar ao Ghostscript especificamente onde procurar fontes, usando a
-sFONTPATH=...opção diretamente na linha de comando:

  gs -sFONTPATH=/usr/share/fonts;/some/other/path [...rest of command...]

Alternativamente, você pode definir a GS_FONTPATHvariável de ambiente.

Para vários diretórios de fontes, use ponto e vírgula ;como separador.
