Estou tentando usar o apacitepacote para referência, mas estou tendo alguns problemas para fazê-lo funcionar.
Estou usando o Ubuntu e a distribuição Tex Live, então instalei o texlive-bibtex-extrapacote Ubuntu que contém o apacite.
Estou usando um arquivo bibtex que funciona bem, natbibmas por algum motivo não funciona aqui. Jung2009é uma das minhas referências.
Aqui está um exemplo:

Inicialmente tive problemas com citações em legendas, mas resolvi isso colocando \protectna frente dos \citecomandos.
No entanto, ainda recebo o seguinte erro quando tento compilar

EDIT: Meu arquivo .bib é gerado automaticamente a partir do meu gerenciador de referências Mendeley. Aqui está a entrada para Jung2009.

EDIT2: executando apacite.ins na pasta com meu arquivo .tex, posso fazer com que o apacite seja executado e o exemplo acima funciona muito bem. No entanto, agora cada citação em meu documento real causa um! Erro de sequência de controle indefinido. Mesmo quando eu excluo todos os outros arquivos relacionados da pasta. Poderiam ser outros pacotes interferindo? Aqui está meu preâmbulo, baseado em um modelo:
