Imagem Tikz embutida

Question

Existe alguma maneira de colocar um código tikzpicture embutido? Aqui está o que eu quero realmente alcançar:

Uma função convexa é denotada por "código tikz para convexidade"

Alguém me disse que isso é possível. Além disso, no tutorial tikz-pgf, vi muitos códigos tikz embutidos. Por exemplo, na seção de escala, o autor coloca uma elipse rotativa embutida (que fica ao lado do texto)

Como isso pode ser alcançado?

Use tikzpicturecomo ambiente ou como \tikzmacro embutida.

Mas o problema com o estiramento da linha é bastante óbvio!

Aqui está uma sugestão sobre como colocar inline e o código tikz não ficar alto o suficiente no texto.

\raisebox{-2pt}{\tikz{\draw[line width=1pt, >->] (0, 0) arc (-180:0:8pt);}}

A saída que me deu foi a seguinte, o que é muito bom, eu acho.
