Adicionar símbolo ao cabeçalho do capítulo

Eu gostaria de adicionar o "|" símbolo ou linha vertical, ao cabeçalho do capítulo para que fique assim:

\chapterlabel #1é o local para inserir a linha vertical. \chapterlabelestá vazio para capítulos não numerados ou contém o número do capítulo incluindo um espaço à direita.

Uma linha vertical pode ser adicionada por \vrule. A largura pode ser configurada pela palavra-chave width: \vrule width 1pt. A altura e a profundidade dependem da altura e da profundidade da linha e podem variar entre os capítulos. Uma regra constante está disponível como $|$. Este último em negrito é usado no exemplo a seguir:
