Uma matriz RAID conectada ao meu sistema (Debian 7) via USB frequentemente se desconecta sem motivo aparente. Após a conexão inicial ao sistema, o dispositivo é detectado e o array pode ser inicializado, montado, lido, gravado e desmontado normalmente. Entretanto, invariavelmente, após um curto período de tempo (minutos a horas), os discos componentes desaparecem da /dev
listagem de fdisk -l
e permanecem inacessíveis até que o dispositivo (ou seja, gabinete RAID) seja desligado e ligado.
A julgar pela saída de /var/log/messages
, o problema parece ser a redefinição do dispositivo USB. Após a reinicialização não provocada, o sistema tenta repetidamente reconectar o dispositivo, atribuindo um número de dispositivo USB mais alto, terminando eventualmente após cinco tentativas de reinicialização.
O que é responsável pela reinicialização do dispositivo? Suspeito que a falha esteja no controlador USB. Como o comportamento indesejado de reinicialização automática pode ser evitado?

A tentativa de atribuição do dispositivo USB número 29 é a tentativa final de reviver a matriz de discos. Para reconectar o dispositivo neste momento, é obrigatório desligar e ligar novamente o gabinete RAID ou desconectar/reconectar.
Atualização: Recentemente, o dispositivo pareceu ser reiniciado logo após uma ressincronização. Não tenho certeza se isso é útil, mas as mensagens de erro contidas /var/log/messages
