Como se livrar de pequenos carrapatos no topo dos pgfplots

Estou procurando uma maneira de me livrar dos pequenos carrapatos no topo da minha figura (os pequenos cinza), mas mantê-los intactos ao longo do eixo x? Meu código é o seguinte:

Eu acho que você está procurando xtick pos=lower.
