Estou tentando compilar minhas referências usando o estilo bibliográfico simples, mas continuo recebendo um erro de 'sequência de controle indefinida'. Este é o erro completo:

Depois de mudar o argumento de \bibliographystylepara apacite-- plaine remover a instrução \usepackage{apacite}também, certo? -- o código no arquivo .bbl não "faz mais sentido" para o LaTeX, visto que o arquivo bbl foi criado quando o apacitepacote ainda estava carregado. Esta é a fonte das mensagens de erro que você está recebendo.

O que você precisa fazer é (a) excluir todos os arquivos auxiliares, incluindo o arquivo .bbl, e (b) executar um ciclo completo de recompilação - LaTeX, BibTeX e LaTeX mais duas vezes.
