Você tem alguns problemas:

1. você deve usar x, não \x, em pgfplotsfunções;

2. o que gera o erro - você pode encontrá-lo comentando tudo e depois descomentando \addplotapenas um - é

   \addplot[black] {};\label{plots:plot5};
   

o que é ilegal; Não sei o que você quer tramar aqui...

(PS: observe os avisos e adicione um \pgfplotsset{compat=1.15}ou qualquer outro para usar os recursos mais recentes do pacote).
