Eu também tentei seguiresta resposta, mas não consigo descobrir por que \resizebox não permite a compilação do meu código, tentei usar \graphicx sem sorte, adicionando também% após o {. E se você tentar fazer sem \resizebox, ele não termina alinhado verticalmente, terminando assim:
Finalmente, como você pode ver no código (%\captionof{figure}{$\alpha$=BLA}), tentei usar a solução \captionof, mas ela acabou fornecendo uma solução totalmente estranha:
