Como definir a largura do gráfico de barras em unidades de eixo

Quero traçar os seguintes dados como um gráfico de barras, onde a largura de cada barra é 784,7913898303067 em unidades do eixo:

Mas, eu acho, que o parâmetro de largura da barra funciona em algumas outras unidades. Consegui fazê-lo funcionar usando \pgfplotsset{compat=1.8}antes do ambiente do eixo, mas por algum outro motivo isso desloca toda a minha figura para baixo e acaba desalinhada em relação a outra figura que tenho ao lado desta.

EDITAR: Usar \pgfplotsset{compat=1.8}resolve parcialmente o problema. Isso me permite definir a largura em unidades do eixo. Mas por alguma razão (por quê?) ela muda a posição da minha imagem e ela não fica mais alinhada.

Atualmente é assim: E existe alguma maneira de definir a equação automaticamente no gráfico em algum lugar onde ela não se sobreponha ao gráfico?

Posso não entender a pergunta, mas depois de completar seus fragmentos em um documento, obtenho o que considero o resultado desejado com a versão 1.17( 1.15e 1.16produzo o mesmo resultado, outras versões que não testei).

Caso isso não responda à pergunta, pode pelo menos ajudar a defini-la.

Quanto à pergunta atualizada: o problema principal desaparece quando você adiciona legendas de subfiguras, o que você deveria IMHO de qualquer maneira. Quanto à visibilidade da fórmula: até onde sei, não existe nenhum truque mágico. Adicionei duas possibilidades ad hoc: contoure aumentar ymax.
