\hangparas não funciona no Memoir

Estou tentando obter parágrafos suspensos no meu documento de memórias. Não está funcionando. O MWE abaixo não causa erros, mas os parágrafos não são recuados. Por exemplo, a palavra "que" está diretamente abaixo do D em Definição. Eu gostaria que fosse um pouco recuado.

Isso significa que o ambiente é baseado em list, que define

\parshape \@ne \@totalleftmargin \linewidth

emtodoparágrafo, ele é digitado até ser substituído ou a configuração ser cancelada no final do ambiente.

Quando o TeX está compondo um parágrafo, ele usa \parshapese seu valor for diferente de zero, caso contrário \hangindent, se seu valor for diferente de zero.

Portanto, o listinterior hangparassubstitui o valor de \hangindent. Você também deve definir seu ambiente com base listse planeja usá-lo flexlabelleddentro dele.
