Passei a usar poliglossia para alguns textos em hebraico e todos os traços em meu texto foram revertidos para três travessões

Question

A mudança de babel para plyglossia em meu texto parece estar associada ao fato de os travessões (digitados como três travessões seguidos) agora serem impressos como três travessões.

Presumo que a mudança para poliglossia seja acidental --- o que poderia estar causando isso?

\newfontfamilynão carrega o \defaultfontfeatures.

Nota: mudei a fonte hebraica para uma que tenho.

Mas é muito melhor usar \setmainfont.

Já que você mencionou babel, caso decida mantê-lo, veja como fazê-lo:

\usepackage[english, bidi=default]{babel}

\babelfont{rm}{EB Garamond}

\babelfont[hebrew]{rm}{Hadasim CLM}
\babelfont[hebrew]{sf}{Miriam CLM}
\babelfont[hebrew]{tt}{Miriam Mono CLM}

  \foreignlanguage{hebrew}{דוגמא לגופני ברירת מחדל}}
