
php5-cli não vem com suporte readline no debian wheezy. isso significa que o shell php interativo (executado como $ php -a
) não possui um prompt ( php >
), em vez disso ele apenas diz Interactive mode enabled
e deixa o cursor em uma linha em branco. eu posso executar php, mas é estranho, por exemplo, <? echo 'hi'; ?>
enterctrldele executará um comando php, mas isso não é tão bom quanto ter o prompt com suporte readline.
Encontrei algumas instruçõespara instalar o php5-cli com suporte readline através do repositório dotdeb, porém, chego na metade e dá um erro:

Como você pode ver, ele termina com um erro fatal reclamando que não consegue encontrar o arquivo readline.h
. alguma ideia do que estou fazendo de errado? será que não funcionará no debian wheezy (7)? a página dotdebinstruções falam apenas sobreaperto debian (6)...

Existe um novo pacote no debian:php5-readline
Basta instalá-lo (talvez instalarlibreadline-devantes) e você terá o php >
prompt.

Desisti de experimentar o dotdeb php-cli com suporte readline para debian wheezy. quem poderia imaginar que seria tão difícil fazer o php rodar com um shell interativo no modo cli!? Se alguém descobrir isso, ainda gostaria de saber como você fez isso, então poste uma resposta aqui ...
No entanto, uma solução alternativa equivalente é a do Facebook phpsh
. este é um shell php interativo e possui alguns recursos interessantes, como tabtabpreenchimento de nomes de funções e destaque de sintaxe para avisos.
Eu instalei assim:
$ sudo apt-get install python # this is necessary to run phpsh
$ cd ~/
$ wget https://github.com/facebook/phpsh/zipball/master
$ unzip phpsh-master.zip
$ cd phpsh-master
$ sudo cp -r src /etc/phpsh # phpsh seems to complain unless it resides at /etc/phpsh
$ sudo ln -s /etc/phpsh/phpsh /usr/bin/phpsh # put phpsh on the $PATH
e pronto, está pronto para uso em qualquer diretório:
$ cd /etc/apt # some random dir
$ phpsh

Tem certeza de que instalou os seguintes pacotes? re2c e libreadline-dev
Então você precisa adicionar um link simbólico dentro do diretório ext/readline para o diretório sapi ln -s ../../sapi
Em seguida, tente compilar o readline novamente.
